Whilst I was in New York City I had the great pleasure to meet the up and coming Composer/ Producer James Sizemore. He is best known for his work on Howard Shore's film scores such as The Hobbit, Twilight, Hugo, M Night Shyamalan’s Split, and a Dogs Purpose to name a few.
I discovered his music back in early 2021 and I was struck by how dramatic and moving some of his piano and chamber repertoire is. His music reminded me of 20th century minimalistic composers like John Cage but also Phillip Glass and Steve Reich.
We recorded some of his solo piano music from his albums; While Being, Treatise piano works, Frameworks.
