Stephen Gott Pianist Records in Broadway, Manhattan with film composer James Sizemore.

While I was in New York City I had the great pleasure to meet the film composer James Sizemore who wrote the music with Howard Shore for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, which is one of my favourite film scores. He also worked on Twilight, Hugo, M Night Shyamalan’s Split, and a Dogs Purpose to name a few.

I discovered his music back in early 2021 and I was struck by how dramatic and moving some of his piano pieces are. His music reminded me of 20th century composers like John Cage but also Phillip Glass.

We recorded some of his solo piano music from his albums; While Being, Treatise, Frameworks. According to the Open Jar Studio's C.E.O. Jeff Whiting is graced regularly by; “Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), Alan Menken, Stephen Schwartz John, Kander (Kander & Ebb), Elton John, Jason Robert Brown, Idina Menzel, Baz Luhrmann (Elvis).

Please do look at his work
